Our New Spider Cage - So many Benefits..!
One of the biggest benefits we’ve seen is how the Spider Cage helps children experience movement in a new way.

At our Melbourne clinic, we’re always looking for ways to enhance how we help children reach their full potential. Recently, we took a big step forward by and buying a Spider Cage we also attended a cage training course to ensure our team could make the most of it.

To be honest, I didn’t expect just how transformative this piece of equipment would be. Within weeks of integrating, it into our therapy sessions, the impact was visible not just in our clients’ progress, but also in the energy and confidence it’s brought to our team.

One of the biggest benefits we’ve seen is how the Spider Cage helps children experience movement in a new way. The system of bungee cords and pulleys gives them safe, supported freedom allowing them to stand, balance, jump, or reach in ways that might have been impossible before. For children with motor planning difficulties, low tone, or developmental delays, that sense of “I can do this” is powerful. It builds confidence, independence, and motivation to keep pushing their limits.

The versatility of the Spider Cage means no two sessions look the same. Our therapists are using it to work on strength, balance, and coordination, while also integrating sensory and functional goals. It’s given us a new creative outlet for therapy turning traditional exercises into playful, engaging challenges that children actually look forward to.

Attending the Spider Cage training together was a bonding experience for our team. It reignited our passion for innovation and reminded us of the “why” behind what we do helping children move, grow, and thrive. We’ve been sharing ideas, trailing new programs, and celebrating each small success together.

Already, parents have noticed the difference. We’ve had children who are standing taller, walking with more confidence, and engaging more actively in everyday activities. The joy in their faces and the relief in their parents’ is what makes it all worthwhile.

Bringing the Spider Cage into our clinic has reminded me that growth doesn’t just happen for our clients it happens for us as clinicians, too. With every new skill a child gains, we’re reminded that innovation and compassion go hand in hand.

Our Spider Cage isn’t just a piece of equipment it’s a symbol of possibility, and we can’t wait to see where it takes our clients next.
